Wrinkles and fine lines are difficult to get rid of entirely. While maintaining a daily skincare routine can stave off the appearance of these aging signs, creams, and serums can only go so far. If you’re interested in a better option, we’re here to offer it. Our neurotoxins (BOTOX® Cosmetic & Dysport®) are an effective option for easing wrinkles and keeping them off your skin for several months. Connect with Dr. Williams here at our office to explore our injectables and discover their benefits.
What Are Neurotoxins?
Neurotoxins are neuromodulator treatments that reduce wrinkles and fine lines formed from the aging process and by hyper-functional muscles. Most of these injectables are composed of botulinum toxin, a substance that provides aesthetic benefits when administered in small doses. These treatments are an excellent choice for some regions of the face, like the forehead, around the mouth, and the eyes.
How Do Neurotoxins Work?
BOTOX® Cosmetic & Dysport® can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to perform. This depends on your particular needs and the wrinkles that we’re addressing. We can ease several wrinkles, including crow’s feet, frown lines, laugh lines, neck bands, and more.
What Results Can I Expect?
The results of these treatments can take several days to become apparent (anywhere from 2-10 days). Results tend to peak in 2-4 weeks and will last for several months (an average of 3-6 months). These results will vary depending on your unique situation and the specific wrinkles targeted. Once your results begin to wear off, we can schedule follow-up appointments to help you remain wrinkle-free.
